Calcium Carbide Granules are grey to black colored lumps that are most commonly utilized as desulfurizer in steel making industry. They also serve as basic compound for organic synthesis and are known to produce acetylene by reacting with water. In combination with calcium phosphide, these carbide granules are used in floating and for naval flares. They are known to have high melting & boiling points 2160 & 2300 degrees Celsius respectively.
